Make your record collection part of a flexible analogue and digital system with the McIntosh MP100. Moving-magnet and moving-coil inputs sit alongside digital output capabilities, supporting both vinyl playback and record archiving.
Key Features
- MM and MC inputs with adjustable loading – six settings for each input help you match the preamp to your cartridge.
- Balanced and unbalanced analog outputs – connect to virtually any preamp, integrated amplifier or home theater processor.
- Optical, coaxial and USB digital outputs – fixed at 24-bit/96kHz, so you can record albums to a computer with suitable software.
- Clipping indicator – warns you when loud passages overload the digital output, so you can lower the level for a clean recording.
- Mono switch – plays mono records correctly while reducing noise.
- Pure analog mode – the digital outputs can be fully disabled and powered down.
Good to Know
At just 3 inches tall, MP100 uses McIntosh's narrow 11.5-inch chassis, yet it sits comfortably alongside full-width components too. It is a tidy way to add a turntable to a home theater system without buying a full stereo preamp.
