Build a compact separates system with the TEAC AP-507. A Hypex NCOREx amplification module provides stereo power in a space-conscious enclosure, with a bridged configuration available for compatible system arrangements.
Key Features
- Hypex NCOREx amplification – a custom-tuned module made by Hypex in the Netherlands gives a spacious, three-dimensional soundstage.
- Serious output – 170 watts per channel in stereo, enough to control demanding floorstanders.
- Flexible configurations – use one in stereo, or pair two for bi-amping or BTL (bridged) mode delivering 350W into 8 ohms.
- Dual-mono buffer stage – TEAC's in-house buffer amplifier is refined at component level for clarity and richness.
- Vibration control – a 2.8mm semi-floating aluminum top plate and 3-point Stress-Less Isolation Feet keep the sound open and natural.
- Home theater friendly – the compact size makes it easy to add power to an AV surround setup.
Good to Know
As a power amplifier, the AP-507 needs a preamplifier or a DAC with variable output in front of it; TEAC designed it to sit alongside the other Reference 500 series components. Choose two units if you plan to bi-amp or run bridged mode.
